Albertina

The Albertina, a former residential palace of the Habsburg family and presently a contemporary museum, is perched on one of the last remnants of Vienna’s original bastion walls. Housing one of the largest and most valuable graphic collections of the world, the Albertina attracts international art lovers. Of equal interest are the 20 splendid state rooms, which nowadays serve as an exclusive event venue for events with up to 450 guests.

At the Albertina, guests can experience authentic imperial flair. For some 100 years, the present-day museum served as a residence for the archdukes and archduchesses of the Habsburg family. Having been carefully restored, the 20 magnificent state rooms in their unique splendour are now available as a backdrop for memorable events. With room sizes ranging from 14 sqm to 177 sqm, events of all sizes can be held at this venue. Hiring the entire Gentlemen’s Wing — which faces the Hofburg palace and offers space for receptions with up to 150 guests — or of the Ladies’ Wing — which faces the Vienna State Opera and provides space for receptions with up to 300 people — makes hosting grand events possible. The opulent rooms are partially decorated with original antique furnishings and display valuable wall coverings and elaborate inlays.

The Albertina also impresses as a venue for open-air events: A spacious terrace stretches along the Ladies’ Wing, offering sufficient space for a reception with up to 120 attendees. Further available as a one-of-a-kind event setting is the outdoor terrace of the Augustinian bastion, one of the most beautiful and central outdoor event areas in Vienna, which can accommodate up to 350 people. Owing to the slight elevation, guests are able to enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of  the Vienna State Opera, the Hofburg palace and the Burggarten park.
