Weinberg Castle, one of Upper Austria’s most stunning Renaissance castles, is enthroned on a picturesque ridge in the beautiful Mühlviertel. Lying behind an impressive curtain wall flanked by circular wall towers, the castle offers tranquillity — the ideal setting for the educational event centre, which was established in 1989. A total of 14 event spaces with room sizes ranging from 17 sqm to 183 sqm as well as several outdoor areas provide an incomparably majestic backdrop for events of all kinds. Besides the elegant function rooms, highlights of this venue include the castle restaurant, the wellness area, the castle grounds with their well-tended gardens, and varied entertainment options. Overnight guests can enjoy a royal slumber in the castle’s 36 rooms and suites.

The ancient walls of Weinberg Castle house 14 event spaces with room sizes between 17 sqm and 183 sqm, which are available for seminars, conferences, meetings, and many other corporate events. Most notable are the four state rooms with their ornate stucco ceilings, elaborate paintings, open fireplaces, and excellent acoustics, all of which make for a unique event experience. While these rooms are rich in heritage and tradition — in the magnificent Knight’s Hall Rittersaal, for example, lavish celebrations have been held since the Renaissance — they are nonetheless well-equipped for modern events and feature up-to-date technology. Various antechambers and interconnecting rooms allow for free-flowing, multi-room event concepts.

The extensive castle grounds offer wonderful spaces for open-air events. The former moat, now a sheltered and shaded green, lends itself perfectly to outdoor group work sessions, relaxed coffee breaks in the fresh air, or even open-air festivities and company celebrations. The picturesque castle park featuring a landscaped park, a pavilion, a paved terrace, and a rose garden also provides an idyllic backdrop, in particular for artistic open-air events such as theatre performances and concerts.

Whether it be a half-day or full-day event, seminar guests at Weinberg Castle are well catered for. Depending on the chosen conference package, a 3-course business lunch, coffee breaks with sweet or savoury refreshments in the morning and afternoon, and a dinner buffet are included.

Weinberg Castle welcomes company parties, celebrations, dinner events, and other festivities. In-house catering can be provided, and partner companies such as the local sound studio and photography centre ensure that every event is receiving the best support possible in every aspect.

In addition to the excellent event facilities, Weinberg Castle offers many more amenities and a variety of ways for guests to spend their leisure time. At the castle restaurant Schlossrestaurant, guests are treated to culinary delights and regional delicacies. The wellness area featuring a sauna and a steam bath is the ideal place to find peace for body and mind. Guests can further relax during a walk through the castle grounds and their gardens, on the sunny terrace, or in the communal lounge. Those who are still energised after a productive day can enjoy themselves in the entertainment area, which offers an in-house bowling alley, table tennis, pool tables, darts, and table football. If desired, guided activities can be organised for the supporting programme. Some of the most popular activities are guided tours of the castle, beer tastings at the neighbouring castle brewery, and guided hikes through the surrounding countryside.

Seminar guests have the option to book overnight stays at Weinberg Castle at reduced rates. There is a choice of 36 rooms and suites consisting of single rooms, double rooms, multi-bed rooms, and a wedding suite, with a total of 63 beds being available.
